The 'Cradle of Aviation' AM at Garden City, NY keep this P-47N Thunderbolt inside. 44-89444 has been named 'Cheek Baby' for some reason. I expect it was built by Republic at nearby Farmingdale.
It's great that this pre-production Tomcat has been saved. Bu.Aer 157982 is #3, and the oldest survivor. You can find it in the 'Cradle of Aviation' AM in Garden City, NY. This F-14A never entered service. 160899 behind it was scrapped at Oceana.
The A-10 is in service today, but the fliers have been through the 'HOG UP' programme where they were extensively strengthened. 76-0535 is quite an early jet, preserved in Garden City, NY. "Live to Fly, Fly to Kill" is the banner on the fuse'. Note the
