Rochester, Minnesota 55901
(Photos)
Erected 1974, these were sky-high dwellings named the "Park Towers" despite being only one building.
From 1975 came an eight-story wall of brown brick veneer, rounding a corner.
It was built in 2003 and is a pleasure to look at.
I dislike the building, but wanted to call attention to the decision to have it painted gray, circa 2020.
Nine stories of light gray, plus four stories of slightly lighter gray on top.

An abandoned motel!, the 5th Avenue Inn & Suites in Rochester, Minnesota, built in 1965 to accommodate Mayo Clinic patients, in town for their appointments.
A so-called "beige beauty" with pale green pyramids, it was built in 1999-2000 but it looks older.

A concrete spiral (circa 1981) was A STACK OF SAUCERS IN LEVITATION o'er a Ford Escape (circa 2017).
This one's called "Walking Home."
One of the most wonderful buildings in Rochester, Minnesota, was the 1st Street Garage, light brown and bluish green, erected 1995.

These were rocks in sparkling shallows in Bear Creek in drought in Minnesota.
Blow a sad kiss to the South Fork Zumbro River in Rochester.
Q: How would the South Fork Zumbro River look, were an aggressive flood-control project to be inflicted upon it, and were it to be lined with concrete walls and evenly-spaced ginkgo trees?
We see the downtown clump-o'-bldgs of Rochester, Minnesota, rising o'er the South Fork Zumbro River.
