Meet Alexa and Company!
Nobska Lighthouse, a popular Cape Cod attraction, was the 1st mile marker of the course
The runners had spectacular views right from the beginning!
Hordes of runners burst from behind the starting line, consuming the road in a matter of milliseconds!
And then came the elite men, flying down Water Street in a dense pack!
Talk about picturesque!
Volunteers, locals, and interested travelers lined Water Street with posters and their cameras ready!
Woods Hole on race day was a painting brought to life!
It was a beautiful (and sweltering) day for a 10k!
The line of runners wrapped around Eel Pond and beyond!
The elite women took off first, leaving onlookers in awe of their speed right out of the gate!
It's amazing they didn't trip over each other in such close proximity!
Flashes of neon stood out against classic Cape Cod cedar buildings!
The non-elite runners took off in groups every 30 seconds, due to the sheer number of participants
You could barely see the pavement, there were so many runners!
