Queenstown. This is the oldest stone building in Queenstown built in 1863 as a Masonic Lodge. The owner of the land here William Rees donated the land for it as gold was discovered.

Queeenstown. The old courthouse erected in 1876 in local schist stone and shaded by old giant California Redwoods or Sequois.Opposite is the town library identical but erected in 1877.

Queenstown. The fine schist Anglican Church built in 1932. It replaced an earlier 1863 wooden Anglican Church. The wooden church was moved to Omakau and is still in use there.

Back in the time machine to 1972 and our first bunk silo, the Allis Chalmers in the dooryard and our old, red barn when it wasn't that old, it was still kind of new and snazzy. We loved it new, we love it old. Everything old was new once. 😊 #cabotf
